Grow A Colony offers multiple playable colony identities, but their evidence is not all the same. Army Ant, Fire Ant, and Bullet Ant have official Roblox badges for unlocking them. Queen Bee and Hornet have official permanent Game Pass products. Termite appears in current screenshot-backed play and recent walkthrough coverage but does not have an official unlock badge or Pass in the reviewed list. Use this index to separate verified existence from update-sensitive price, ability, and progression claims.

Army Ant

Unlock existence is confirmed. A current community walkthrough reports a Points requirement that must be checked in the live selector.

Distinguish unlock types

A badge confirms that Roblox can record the named unlock in this Universe. It does not prove the current Points price, ability set, map, or whether the selection persists exactly as a player expects. A Game Pass confirms a purchasable permanent product and its current description, but it does not establish an equivalent free route or every gameplay effect.

Community screenshots can show the selector and a price at a particular moment. Use those values as a route clue, then read the live card before committing a grind. The selector is the source for the current requirement; the badge or Pass is the source for verified identity.

Plan a Points unlock

First learn the Black Ant opening and prove a stable Food route. Then watch the Points balance while completing ordinary colony objectives. Open the colony selector between runs or at the intended selection point and record the exact requirement for your target. Do not spend Points on another choice if it would reset progress toward the target you actually want.

Community reporting on August 28 lists Army Ant at 20 PTS, Fire Ant at 35 PTS, Bullet Ant at 85 PTS, and Termite at 175 PTS. Those are useful current waypoints, not permanent official prices. Recheck the selector because an update can rebalance them without changing the badge names.

When the balance reaches the live threshold, take a screenshot of the before state if you want a clean verification. Unlock once, confirm the selector changes, and check whether Roblox awards the corresponding badge for Army, Fire, or Bullet Ant. Then rejoin or start a new run if necessary to establish whether the selection persists.

Evaluate a Robux colony

The official Game Pass API listed Queen Bee (Perm) at 199 Robux and Hornet (perm) at 299 Robux on August 28, 2026. Prices can change, so the Roblox purchase dialog is final. Read the product name, creator, current description, and price before confirming.

The reviewed descriptions say each grants the named bee or hornet inside Grow A Colony. They do not list abilities, stats, map advantages, or a free alternative. Buy only if permanent access to the named colony is worth the current price without assuming hidden combat power.

Compare colonies without inventing a tier list

Use the same opening route for each unlocked colony. Record starting location, available unit types, live caps, Food stability, movement, visible abilities, and how the Queen survives the same kind of threat. A single victory or higher purchase price is not enough to call one colony best.

Separate unlock value from combat value. A cheaper colony can be useful for variety or a particular route; a paid colony can still be a poor fit for your play style. Document the tradeoff you observe and the current version rather than converting incomplete values into a universal ranking.

Avoid identity mistakes

Queen Bee as a permanent playable product does not prove a Queen Bee raid boss. Hornet as a playable Pass does not prove every hostile wasp or hornet encountered is the same entity. Keep playable colony, enemy creature, and objective labels separate until the live UI connects them.

Similarly, do not infer Grow A Colony abilities from another ant strategy game. Confirm the developer is sebcaddy1 and the Universe is 10601273666 before using a species guide.

Unlock checklist

  1. Open the exact Roblox experience and current colony selector.
  2. Identify whether the live requirement is Free, Points, group access, or Robux.
  3. Confirm the Points balance or Roblox purchase details.
  4. Unlock only once and read the success state.
  5. For Army, Fire, or Bullet Ant, check the official badge award as corroboration.
  6. Start or rejoin and confirm the colony is selectable.
  7. Test abilities and stats without assuming they match the name or price.
